6.06 What should I do if my foreign currency order packaging has been tampered with?

Articles on: Delivery

It is essential that you refuse to accept the delivery from Royal Mail if the packaging has been tampered with and then contact us immediately to report the issue. Any delays in contacting us may adversely affect our ability to make a claim against Royal Mail's Special Delivery insurance. We will then liaise with Royal Mail to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, which may involve getting another delivery out to you.

If you do accept a tampered package, and any of the contents are subsequently missing or damaged, then it is unlikely that we will be able to claim compensation from Royal Mail. However, you should still contact us and be prepared to send photographic evidence in support of your claim.

Royal Mail would refuse to collect a damaged package from us, and in our experience Royal Mail have never knowingly delivered a damaged package to a customer - they would always refer back to us for instructions if a damaged package was discovered en route.
